May 6, 2021

Dear Guelph Enabling Garden Community, Volunteers, Horticultural Therapy Participants and Tea ‘n’ Tales audience,

We are thrilled to announce that the Guelph Enabling Garden and the Guelph Guild of Storytellers will be holding our annual summer storytelling event online this year! Please join us for “VirtualiTEA ‘n’ TALES” on Friday mornings at 10:30AM from June 25th to September 3rd, 2021. See our previous blog post for a schedule of Tellers and details on how to attend this virtual event.

As you know, on Thursday, April 8, the Province of Ontario declared an emergency and province wide stay-at-home order, in effect until May 19, 2021 (Read O. Reg. 82/20 for details). Riverside Park is currently only open for walkthroughs. All outdoor recreational amenities are closed, including picnic sites and picnic tables within the Park.

At the Guelph Enabling Garden, we are currently unable to host volunteering, Horticultural Therapy workshops, or teaching sessions. For now, we will see you at VirtualiTEA ‘n’ TALES!

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we follow the Public Health Emergency declarations that are keeping us all safe during these troublesome times.  Check our website or follow us on social media to find out when we can safely re-open the Garden for volunteering, Horticultural Therapy workshops, and teaching sessions.

For more information about COVID-19, please refer to the resources below. For more information about the GEG’s reopening, please email enablinginfo@sympatico.ca. We look forward to seeing you back in the Garden!

Stay safe, and take care of yourselves.

Sincerely,
Guelph Enabling Garden Board of Directors
